The Mums' Marketplace

The Mums' Marketplace was set-up in 2008 and is a co-operative of craft-sellers and independent traders local to the Worthing area of West Sussex.

	At our first event in July 2008 we had 12 participants. Now in our second year, due to continuing interest and our growing success we have over 60 Mums' Marketplace members - all with different stalls!

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US...
We are mainly mums, (although we also welcome dads and those without children), who work from home around the commitments of family life. We hold regular sales events at local venues throughout the year, and provide a wonderful variety of unusual and distinctive products that you simply won't find on the High Street. Many of our members hand-craft their items themselves, so you are assured of something truly unique.	Click here to see our Events List
NEWS We are delighted to be able to tell you all that through the course of our 2009 events at the Guildbourne Centre we raised just over £1000 for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice. Thank you to everyone who supported us and put money in the collection buckets! We will be supporting them again throughout 2010.	Click here to meet our Members

Giving Something Back...

Mums' Marketplace is built on an ethos of helping each other out and promotes a strong sense of community, so we are very proud to confirm that throughout 2010 we will continue to support the two fantastic charities we partnered with in 2009 - Ferring Country Centre and Chestnut Tree House.

We are thrilled to be continuing and building on our relationship with Ferring Country Centre (FCC), an independent charity which provides meaningful work experience and training for adults with learning difficulties. There will be a number of Mums' Marketplace stalls at most of the FCC's fundraising events throughout 2010. In addition, staff from FCC will run a charity cafe at some Mums' Marketplace events, with proceeds going to the centre.

We are equally delighted to continue supporting another excellent local charity, as proceeds from each Mums' Marketplace event at the Guildbourne Centre will be given to Chestnut Tree House. Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex, caring for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.
In 2009 the Mums' Marketplace raised just over £1000 for Chestnut Tree House through our Guildbourne Centre events.
