I first started making chutney after being given a recipe that belonged to my husband's grandmother, Gwendolyn.
This Apple, Raisin and Ginger Chutney was first made by her in 1929.

I try to make as many different types of chutney as possible depending on the ingredients available.
These include:
Plum, Apple & Ginger Chutney
Onion Marmalade
Chilli Jam
Rhubarb Chutney
Red Tomato, Courgette & Mixed Pepper Chutney
Beetroot Relish
I try to use organic ingredients where possible. A lot of the ingredients used are locally grown and given to me by family and friends from their allotments and gardens.
Chutneys are great with cheese, cold meats and pork pies. They will liven up any sandwich. They are also an ideal accompaniment to pates and are perfect for barbeques.
